Imagist Ink Wash & Mineral Pigment Painting

Ewen Wang is the sole founder of Imagist Ink Wash and Mineral Pigment Painting (意象水墨岩彩画) — a distinct genre that fuses traditional Chinese ink wash painting with natural mineral pigments (岩彩), Western abstract aesthetics, and ancient rock-art motifs. His work has been affirmed by eminent masters Qian Songyan, Lu Yanshao, and Lai Shaoqi.
